SINCE 2022
A Melbournian and a New Yorker with a great affinity for Athens, searched for the Athens version of the inner-city bohemian, multicultural and edgy areas they grew up and lived in. After an extensive search, Kypseli was found to meet the brief. Being amateur beekeepers, the owners loved the fact that the area was named after beehives, and it was so close to the city center.
This building was chosen because it was built for, and by owner occupiers, with big spacious apartments with great internal light. Having 70s styling and being on a corner and detached from other buildings were big draw cards. The brief to the team at Division Architects was to try to maintain as many of the 70s period features as possible but to bring up the building to 2022 specs.
